Cumin Sticks

2 cups all-purpose flour

        
1 teaspoon salt

        
½ teaspoon dry mustard

        
½ cup grated kefalotiri cheese

        
2 sticks (½ pound) butter or margarine, melted

        
1 egg yolk

        
2 tablespoons ouzo

        
4 tablespoons water

        
1 egg white

        
2 teaspoons cumin seedsPreheat oven to 350 degrees.
Blend together flour, salt, mustard, and cheese. Add melted butter, egg yolk, ouzo, and water, mixing to form a soft dough. Roll out dough to a thickness of ¼ inch and cut into 3 × ½-inch strips, or cut into various shapes with a cookie cutter. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Brush with egg white and sprinkle with cumin seeds. Bake for 15 minutes or until light brown.
